Fla. fugitive caught during traffic accident

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A Saturday afternoon traffic accident resulted in a fugitive from Florida being apprehended.

The accident occurred on west U.S. 25, 10 miles south of London around 5 p.m. During the investigation at the scene, it was determined that a person involved in the accident was wanted for grand theft in St. John’s County in Florida.

Arrested was 26-year-old Ashley Barnard of West 16th Street in London. She was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
