Woman arrested for public intoxication

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Berry, along with Sgt. Brett Reeves, arrested a female subject in front of a business on West Cumberland Gap Parkway, 13 miles south of London, early Monday, July 1 at approximately 5:22 a.m. following complaints from several businesses and persons that she was creating a disturbance.

Mary Brown, 45, of Corbin was arrested and charged with public intoxication-controlled substances. She also was a wanted person-wanted on two outstanding Knox County bench warrants — one for failure to appear in court on a theft charge, and one for failure to appear in court on a violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO. She was also wanted on a Knox County warrant of arrest, charging her with receiving stolen property, regarding stolen checks being used to purchase items.
