Man arrested for assaulting girlfriend

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A Corbin man was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 13 for assaulting his girlfriend.

Casey D. Crawford, 21, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy James Sizemore was dispatched to a domestic violence complaint at 8 a.m. on Hopewell Church Road, eight miles south of London. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy learned that Crawford had punched his girlfriend in the head twice, and also grabbed her causing injury to her.

Crawford was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
