LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A single stop at a Star Hill Road residence netted three arrests of wanted persons.
The arrests came after Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back, Deputy James Sizemore and Deputy Gilbert Acciardo went to Star Hill Road, three miles north of London around 1 p.m. Monday. Their trip to that area concerned some developments regarding the whereabouts of two persons wanted in Laurel County on bench warrants from court.
Once at the residence, the officers located 39-year-old Steven Simpson of Star Hill Road, who was wanted for a bench warrant for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants and other traffic violations. A woman who escaped home incarceration — 23-year-old Theresa Hall, also of Star Hill Road, was also located at the residence and placed under arrest. Hall had been placed on home incarceration for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A third person at the residence, 21-year-old Megan Correll, also of Star Hill Road, was arrested and charged with a bench warrant from Whitley County regarding a traffic offense.
All three persons were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center following their arrests.
