LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Scott along with Deputies Kevin Berry and Mikey Ashurst went to a residence on Farley Road, eight miles north of London, Friday night after receiving information that an individual who was wanted for bailjumping out of Clay County was at a residence.
Matthew Collett, 33, of Wade Rice Trailer Park, Garrard, was arrested on charges of first-degree bailjumping, on a $100, 000 cash bond, from Clay County Circuit Court, and six other outstanding bench warrants of arrest, which included numerous charges.
Deputies found Collett at the residence, hiding behind couch cushions in the upstairs hallway.
Also arrested was Nancy K. Collett who, when questioned, told deputies the subject was not in the residence. Nancy K. Collett, 33, of King David Benge, Manchester, was charged with second-degree hindering apprehension. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
