Discarded meth labs found

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

The ongoing battle against meth production in the county continues with the discovery of four one-step meth labs on Thursday morning.

A complaint of a meth lab found in a ditchline off Hatcher Road, one mile east of London, around 10:15 a.m. sent Sheriff’s officials to the scene where they found four Mountain Dew bottles with white residue in the bottles.

An investigation into the persons responsible for the meth labs is underway. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Laurel Sheriff’s Office at (606) 864-6600 or Laurel Dispatch at (606) 878-7000. Callers can remain anonymous.

Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Billy Madden, Sheriff John Root, Lieut. Chuck Johnson and Deputy Kevin Berry conducted the investigation, which is being continued by Detective Madden.
