Four arrested for bench warrants

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Four were arrested last week for bench warrants.

An indictment warrant against 31-year-old Mercedes S. Dean of Slate Ridge Road in Lily was executed on Broad Street in London on Friday. Dean was indicted on Feb. 15 by a Laurel grand jury for first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 years old.

Jerry D. Vaughn, 35, of Lily Road in London was arrested at the Laurel County Judicial Center on Thursday. Vaughn was wanted on a bench warrant from Laurel District Court for failure to appear in court concerning violating a Kentucky EPO/DVO.

Another arrest was made on Thursday by Deputy Shane Rice against 52-year-old Stephen Curtis Little of Level Green Road, 10 miles south of London, on Thursday. Little was arrested on a bench warrant on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operators license, failure of owner the maintain required insurance or security, no registration receipt and no registration plates.

James R. Marcum, 39, of East Laurel Road, eight miles south of London, was arrested on Wednesday for a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence with minor injury and another bench warrant from another police agency.

All were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
