LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — An intoxicated shopper at Flea Land Flea Market on Ky. 229 was arrested last Tuesday by Officer Justin Roby of the London Police Department.

Charles Horton, 47, of Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested and charged with first degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Officer Roby responded to a call at the market about a possible intoxicated man.  Police located the suspect's wife. During the interview with her, Horton drove up to meet her.  Officer Roby took note of a small child that was in the rear seat of the vehicle.

Upon interviewing Horton, he was administered a sobriety test and failed.  It was determined that Horton was under the influence of pain medication.  He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
