LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A complaint of a stolen motorcycle led to an East Bernstadt couple being arrested on drug charges Friday morning.
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies John Inman and Kevin Berry along with Bailiffs Brandon Broughton and Andrew Lawson arrested J.R. Brock, 39 and Polly Brock, 39, both of Ky. 3094, East Bernstadt.
While investigating the stolen motorcycle complaint, deputies found a small amount of marijuana and a dollar bill with white residue on it. J.R. Brock told deputies he had recently snorted hydrocodone, that was not prescribed to him, through the dollar bill.
Additionally, Social Services was called to the scene due to the deplorable living conditions the five children staying in the residence were being subjected to. Because both parents were arrested, the children, ranging from kindergarten through fourth grade, were released to their grandparents.
J.R. Brock and Polly Brock were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
