LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Last Sunday, officers from the London Police Department received a complaint from Krystal on Ky. 192 where patrons smelled smoke from the bathroom.
Shawn Evans, 36, of Barbourville was arrested and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia.
Upon the arrival, Officer Jacob Bormann saw Evans exit the bathroom with a large pill bottle sticking out of his pocket. Bormann inquired about the bottle and searched him, discovering a cut straw with residue, a used syringe and a section of a pen that also bore the residue.
According to the police report, Evans stated he had used the straw and pen to snort pills and used the syringe to inject suboxone. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
