Woman arrested for unprescribed pills

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Laurel County Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter arrested a female subject while assisting social services on a complaint on Farris Jones Road, nine miles north of London, on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 4:40 p.m.

Jautanna McQueen, 48, of East Bernstadt was arrested and charged with public intoxication-controlled substances; prescription of controlled substances not in its proper container, first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition to being intoxicated on drugs, McQueen was found in possession of Xanax in a pill bottle that had the label scratched off. She stated it was not prescribed to her. Two meth pipes containing suspected residue were also discovered in her custody.

McQueen was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
