Man arrested for warrants, child support


With arrearages in child support and a warrant for failing to appear in court, 40-year-old Edgar Bowling was taken into custody by Laurel County Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Shane Rice and Bailiff Brandon Broughton on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office received information on Bowling’s location, where the three deputies arrested him at a residence on Ky. 229 around 2 p.m. Bowling is now charged with flagrant non-support and failure to appear in court. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center after his arrest.
