A two-car crash on Friday afternoon sent a London woman to a Lexington hospital with serious injuries.

Donna Davis, 60, of London, had to be removed from her Chevrolet Impala following the accident that occurred on American Greeting Card Road, eight miles south of London, around 4:45 p.m.

Davis was traveling south when she allegedly crossed the centerline, striking a blue Chrysler Sebring operated by 46-year-old Kimberly Grigsby of London. Grigsby and her  22-month-old grandson were both taken to Baptist Health Corbin for possible injuries.

Laurel Sheriff’s Deputies Robbie Grimes and Kevin Berry, along with Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter responded to the scene, as did members of the London-Laurel County Rescue Squad and the West Knox Volunteer Fire Department.
