LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Brad Mitchell conducted an undercover investigation into illegal drug trafficking on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., 10 miles south of London.
Detective Jason Back assisted on the investigation where Ricky E. Taylor, 49, of Rafferty Road, Cannon, Ky., sold 20 oxycodone pills from his vehicle in a business parking lot off Ky. 770. As soon as Taylor pulled out a pill bottle and began counting the pills for sale, he was immediately arrested by Mitchell and Back, who identified themselves as sheriff’s detectives.
Taylor is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Assisting at the scene was Sheriff John Root and Lt. Rodney Van Zant.
