Son assaults mother in domestic dispute

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A 41-year-old Laurel man was arrested after he assaulted his mother during a domestic dispute on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy William Bo Harris responded to the complaint on Old Salem Road just after noon, where he found the female victim with a large cut on her hand. She had also been hit in the head. The victim named her son as the person who assaulted her.

Harris found Timothy D. Lewis, of Old Salem Road, nearby and placed him under arrest, charged with fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
