LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
The London Writers Group will host readings and a writer’s workshop on Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Cumberland Valley Area Development District building, lower level, located at 342 Old Whitley Road (Ky. 1006) in London.
The reading event on Friday will begin at 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Members and special guests will read selections from their work. A reception will follow.
The following day, Saturday, a poetry workshop, led by Lexington poet Bianca Spriggs, will begin at 9 a.m. Lunch for registered participants and guests will be served about 11:45 a.m.
At 12:30 p.m., the fiction workshop will begin with Kelli Carmean of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Pre-registration and a $25 fee is required by September 30 to attend the Saturday sessions. Lunch is included in the fee.
