Cruisin’ on Main off to good start
Cruisin’ on Main was a roaring success last Saturday, with 200 cars parked along Main Street.
“Everything was really, really nice,” Cruisin’ chairwoman Tonya Lewis said. “It went very well. We had a lot of people in the community come out. The weather was beautiful.”
Lewis said people came from all over Kentucky to participate in the show, including Frenchburg in Menifee County, Demossville in Pendleton County and Prestonsburg in Floyd County.
Members of the Rebel Corvettes of the Bluegrass all came to town from Lexington. To add to the entertainment, the Pine Mountain Dancers performed.
“They were really cute, really cute,” Lewis said. “They will be back in September to entertain us again.”
Next month is Mustang Month.
“Anyone that has a Mustang, anyone who just loves looking at Mustangs, needs to come to the show next month and enjoy themselves,” Lewis said.
The next Cruisin’ on Main is July 4.
“We do hope for the show to continue to grow,” Lewis said. “We are looking for volunteers. We would love to increase our amount of vendors. We’d just like to invite everyone to have a day of fun.”
