With the region tennis tournament scheduled to start next Tuesday at Whitley County, the North Laurel Jaguars picked up a win over visiting Lynn Camp Monday.
The boys’ team won 9-0, while the Lady Jaguars took an 8-1 victory.
“Lynn Camp had two boys and four girls for this match,” Coach Bobby Smith said. “Their boys played singles twice, and it gave us the opportunity for both the boys and girls to get some playing time for many of our younger kids.”
Dustin Robinson, Austin Reed, Henry Eberhardt and Wheeler Painter all won singles matches for North Laurel, while in doubles Luke Moore and Will Napier picked up the win.
Rachael Lewis, Pooja Kanthawar and Caroline DeBord all won singles matches for the Lady Jaguars, while Keely McWhoter/Erica Mamauag and Mikaela Prichard/Maggie Doty won in doubles.
