Violence prevention starts at home

Coalition, Catholic church to offer parenting classes, support groups




• Thursday, Nov. 15- Free Parenting Classes for parents and grandparents hosted by Saint Joseph London Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine starting at 4 p.m. for children ages two to three years old. Food and drinks will be provided.  (2013 class dates include Jan. 17 for parents of ages three to five, Feb. 21 for parents of ages six to eight, March 15 for parents of ages seven to 10, and April 18 for parents of ages 11 to 18.)

• Saturday, Nov. 17- Free Teen Parent Support Group of teen parents at North Laurel and South Laurel High schools from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Saint William Catholic Church.  Food and drinks will be provided.

Now that school is out, what are your family’s summer vacation plans?

A. No major plans. We will probably hang out around Laurel County.

C. Kentucky has a lot of wonderful state parks, and we plan to visit a few and enjoy quality family time.
