Barbourville couple busted

Multiple drugs, cash confiscated

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Two drug dealers from Barbourville were jailed Tuesday after they were found with large quantities of drugs.

Kenneth Jason Hughes, 33, of Cornette Lane, and 33-year-old Krystal L. Langley of Tinsley Street, both in Barbourville, were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on two charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Brad Mitchell initiated a traffic stop of a Chevrolet pickup truck along U.S. 25 E, 10 miles south of London, at 1:30 p.m. Inside the vehicle were 32 1/2 Oxycodone pills and between 1 1/2 to 2 grams of powder and crack cocaine.

Assisting in the arrests were Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back, Deputy James Sizemore, and agents from the London office of the Drug Enforcement Agency and UNITE.
