LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A man’s sexual abuse had taken its toll over the last several months and has finally been put to a stop by the London City Police when he was arrested on Friday, June 1.
Detective Stacy Anderkin investigated the complaint and was key in the arrest of Micheal J. Courtright, 31, of 1616 Laurel River Road in London. Courtright was charged with second-and third-degree sexual abuse. Third degree sexual abuse is a Class “B” misdemeanor and second degree is a Class “A” with a fine up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment for up to nine months. For a repeat offender, the term of imprisonment may increase up to two years.
According to police, Courtright allegedly subjected a 16-year-old mentally challenged female to sexual contact which included hand contact underneath the victim’s clothing. In addition the offender allegedly also subjected a 17-year-old female to sexual contact without consent.
