LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Another new business is coming to London with an expected 30 new jobs and more in the coming year.
Benore Logistics Systems Inc. began hiring last Friday and hopes to grow to include 50 employees in 2014.
Based in Michigan and founded in 1994 by brothers Jeffery M. Benore and David A. Benore, Benore Logistics Systems (BLS) expanded their family-owned transportation company into a fully integrated logistics organization. BLS currently has its headquarters in Erie, Mich. and Greer, S.C. and will add London as a permanent hub, partnering with a new location in Georgetown, Ky.
The operation will involve a drop and hook facility off Exit 38 on Ky. 1006 between Kentucky Auto Exchange and Martin’s Peterbilt and is already hiring.
“This company will be hauling BMW parts,” said Paula Thompson, assistant executive director for the London-Laurel County Industrial Development Authority. “This is called the ‘just in time’ trucking service, which will allow truck drivers to make their route and be back home that night.”
BLS is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider of supply chain services and integrated logistics solutions. Their diverse range of services includes end-to-end supply chain from design and consulting through international freight forwarding, transportation, and materials management services to information systems that include automotive, chemical, consumer goods and industrial.
“Their pay is excellent and they offer bonuses, full benefits and incentives,” Thompson added.
