Construction forces rolling roadblocks on I-75

The north and southbound lanes of I-75 between London and Corbin will be subject to a rolling roadblock beginning at 9:30 a.m. May 7.

Kentucky State Police will conduct the roadblock to allow contractors to complete work on overhead communications lines located at milepoint 29.3.

The northbound ramps of Exits 25 and 29 will be closed for the duration of the roadblock, which is expected to conclude at approximately 10 a.m.

Motorists in the vicinity should anticipate slowed or stopped traffic.

A rolling roadblock is used when construction activities are taking place in or above all lanes of a roadway, thus requiring traffic to be temporarily slowed rather than completely stopped. Traffic is paced at a safe speed to provide a gap in traffic and allow the work activities to be performed.

The pacing of traffic is controlled by pilot vehicles driven by uniformed KSP personnel.
