A London man who allegedly ignored demands from his minor girlfriend’s mother to stay out of her home and away from her daughter is facing multiple charges after he allegedly ignored the request and assaulted the girl’s mother.
Michael A. Wooten, 21, was found at the family’s apartment in the Rose Ann Apartment Complex in North Corbin Wednesday night and sheriff’s deputies were called to arrest him.
“(Wooten) admitted to being in the residence with underage female, remained on property knowing he had no legal right to do so,” said Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Milton Storm, who responded to the complaint.
According to Storm, Wooten allegedly struck the girl’s mother as he was leaving the apartment.
Wooten was taken into custody a short time later and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, fourth-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
Wooten is scheduled to be arraigned in Laurel District Court on June 29.
