Truck, trailer roll on KY 80
Traffic on KY 80 near Warren Grove Road was reduced to one lane when a pick-up truck towing a trailer, and the trailer overturned Friday.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy William Harrison said about 1:45 p.m., Isaac Pennington of Hyden was traveling east on KY 80 about 3 miles west of London when he lost control of his Lincoln Mark LT truck. As a result, the truck and the trailer overturned onto their sides.
“He said he was trying to change lanes,” Harrison said of Pennington. “He over corrected, lost control and the truck and trailer overturned.”
The incident was initially paged out as an accident with injuries. In addition to sheriff’s deputies, a unit from Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County responded. However, Harrison said Pennington told EMTs he was okay and refused transport to the hospital.
