LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
On July 30, schools will host their annual “Back to School Bash” from 5-8 p.m. at the Laurel-London Optimist Club.
The back to school extravaganza will be open to all students, kindergarten through high school and will feature free giveaways, informational booths, a dunking booth and performances by local cheerleaders and dance teams.
Additionally, students who attend will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an Apple iPad. There will be one boy and one girl winner in the drawing.
Vendors expected to attend include, but aren’t limited to: White and Maggard Orthodontics, Office Depot, Saint Joseph London, Baptist Health Corbin, the Laurel County Public Library, Walmart Distribution Center, Walmart Vision Center, the American Red Cross and many more local businesses and organizations.
In addition to the various vendor booths, the London Police Department will be making free identification (ID) kits for students and will be bringing their drunk driving simulator for the older students.
Members of the Laurel-London Optimist Club will also be at the Back to School Bash allowing students to sign up for fall league sports.
