One injured in two-car crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — One person involved in a two-car crash was pinned inside their vehicle while the other car hit a pickup truck parked at a business.

The accident occurred on U.S. 25, one mile north of London, just before 7 p.m. Tuesday when a Toyota Corolla pulled out from Bullock Road into the path of a northbound Toyota Camry, driven by 50-year-old Barry Chaney of London.

The impact sent Chaney’s Camry sliding, rolling backward and into the Ford F-150 pickup which was parked at Brummett’s BP station on North Laurel Road (U.S. 25-N).

Letha Wagers, 61, the driver of the Toyota Corolla, was injured in the crash and was transported to Saint Joseph London for treatment. No other injuries were reported, although at least one person had to be extricated from their vehicle.

The accident was investigated by Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott.
