Two injured in Fariston Road crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Two people were taken to the hospital for injuries from a crash on Fariston Road on Saturday evening.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott is continuing the investigation into the accident in which a gray Chevrolet Trail Blazer, driven by a 17-year-old female, was traveling north on Fariston Road when she rounded a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The Trail Blazer went into the southbound lane, striking a black Mazda CX9, driven by 54-year-old Marcella Carson. Both females listed addresses of Fariston Road in London.

The impact of the crash caused severe damage to both vehicles and both injured persons were taken to Saint Joseph London for treatment.

Assisting at the scene of the crash were members of Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County and the Lily Volunteer Fire Department.
