Property taxes due Monday

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Monday, April 15 is the last day to pay the 2012 property tax fees at the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office. All property taxes for the 2012 billing year that have not been paid by 4 p.m. will be turned over to the Laurel County Clerk and Laurel County Attorney’s offices.

Late fees will still apply.

Payments made after 4 p.m. April 15 must be made at the Laurel County Clerk’s office on the second floor of the Laurel County Courthouse.

Persons wishing to make payments before the tax date can do so by visiting the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and this Saturday, April 13, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. For those mailing in their tax payment, the envelope must be postmarked by Monday, April 15.
