Troopers seize 3.2 lbs of marijuana

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — On Thursday, KSP troopers seized 3.2 pounds of packaged marijuana inside an RV, and also seized $3,400 in U.S. currency.

Everett Stone, 55, of Wooster, Ohio was charged with trafficking in marijuana.

At 2:41 p.m. Sgt. Lafe Owens, along with KSP Detective Darren Allen, were on routine patrol on Interstate 75 when they stopped at a local fuel station 10 miles north of London because they observed Stone exhibiting suspicious behavior.

Sgt. Owens and Detective Allen approached Stone and developed a conversation with him and determined he was the operator of a recreational vehicle. During the conversation, troopers suspected illegal activity and received consent to search the RV by the owner, Michael Mast.
