Chamber hosts Job Fair Wednesday

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Jobs are available in Laurel County and a group of local businesses are teaming together to put the job hunt in one convenient spot.

The London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job fair on Wednesday to assist businesses in recruiting potential employees and to help those seeking jobs to see the various options available in the area.

The Job Fair will be held at the London Community Center from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and will offer jobs in a variety of business settings from call centers to cosmetic sales and factory and technical facilities.

Businesses that will participate in the Chamber Job Fair include: Aaron’s Sales and Lease, Bluegrass Cellular, Cheddar’s, Comfort Keepers, Country Inn and Suites, Fedex Ground, Laurel County Adult Education, Kemper Home Furnishings, The Job Shop, Independent Opportunities, Lifeline Home Care, R-TEC, Senture, Serco, Springleaf, Truitt Brothers, Webbed Sphere Inc., Woodman of the World, Laurel Senior Living Communities, Seton Home Health and Tri-County Hospice, and Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Deanna Herrmann, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, said the list of participating businesses is growing daily, and any other businesses who are members of the Chamber of Commerce that are interested in participating should contact the Chamber office at (606) 864-4789.
