LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A former London attorney and World War II veteran died early Tuesday morning.

Funeral arrangements for Boyd Taylor, 88, of Somerset, were pending at House-Rawlings Funeral Home at press time Tuesday.

Taylor was a native of London and served the military where he fought during World War II. He earned the rank of sergeant and was part of the Ordinance Division, which dropped bombs on enemy sites.

In 1951, Taylor came home and established his law firm where he worked for more than 50 years. He was highly regarded by his fellow attorneys and clients.

“He never denied helping someone who didn’t have money to pay. He was a good fellow and a good attorney,” State Senator Tom Jensen said.

A complete obituary and story honoring Taylor will be featured in the Friday edition of The Sentinel-Echo.
