Road built to Levi Jackson Family Cemetery

Dedication set for May 24

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A new road leading to the Levi Jackson Family Cemetery on Ky. 229 will be dedicated on Friday, May 24. As parking is limited at the cemetery, visitors will meet at 1 p.m. at the Levi Clubhouse in the park and a trolley will take groups up to the grave sites.

The new road is the first road on the left past the entrance to Feltner 4-H Camp. Jim Hayes will give a brief history of the Jackson family and the John Freeman family. Freeman is the father-in-law of Jackson. The Freeman Family Cemetery is located a short distance down from the Jackson Cemetery and can be seen from Ky. 229.
