Laurel County residents needing a deed, marriage license, driver’s license, property assessment or other service from London or Laurel County officials, should plan on completing that business by today or waiting until Monday.
With the World Chicken Festival coming to downtown London beginning Thursday, county government offices in the courthouse and annex buildings will be closed for business Thursday and Friday.
Those offices include the judge-executive, county attorney, child support, county clerk, property valuation administrator, court clerk, district, circuit and family court, sheriff’s office and pretrial services.
County Clerk Dean Johnson said his office will not be open for its normal Saturday hours.
“We will be back at 8 a.m. Monday,” Johnson said.
London City Hall and the front office at the London Police Department will also be closed Thursday and Friday.
