Three charged with making meth in Piney Grove Aparments
Another methamphetamine lab has been discovered in Laurel County, this time in Piney Grove Apartments on Robert E. Cox Road.
After receiving a report of the lab Tuesday, Kentucky State Police Trooper Mike King, Trooper Steve Smallwood and Laurel County Constable Denver Mays responded and found three men cooking meth, as well as several items used to make the illegal drug.
King arrested and charged:
• Rickie E. Eubanks, 32, of Corbin, with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of a bench warrant.
• Anthony J. Schumaker, 26, of London, with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Stephen D. Nunney, 42, of Corbin, with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
King is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by Smallwood, Mays and the Laurel County Department of Public Safety.
The suspects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
