LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Police have identified the suspect who allegedly robbed the A&B Quik Stop in northern Laurel County at gunpoint on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

A warrant is pending for the arrest of Christopher Disney, 33, of  Sam Parker Road in Knox County, charging him with the armed robbery. Disney is on the run from authorities and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

According to a press release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, Disney entered A&B Quik Stop, three miles north of London on Ky. 3434 (near East Bernstadt), around 8:40 p.m. He was carrying a semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the clerk on duty. The man left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Following an investigation, deputies obtained a picture of Disney from surveillance cameras at the scene and appealed to the public for help in identifying him through media outlets. On Friday, Dec. 21, a tip was received, and Detective Daryl Zanet, Chief Deputy Eddy Sizemore, along with Knox County Deputy Roy Gambrel went to a residence off Sam Parker Road in Knox County, identified Disney, and recovered the gun believed to have been used in the robbery. Disney, however, remains on the run.

Anyone with information regarding Disney’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Laurel Sheriff’s Office at (606) 864-6600 or Laurel Dispatch at (606) 878-7000.
