North routs McCreary, 12-0

Lady Jags win in girls' soccer action

STEARNS—The North Laurel Lady Jaguars won their second game in a row, rolling 12-0 past McCreary Central Tuesday.

The game was called at the half due to the mercy rule.

“We were able to keep possession the majority of the game and the girls had fun putting the ball into the back of the net,” coach Naomi Puskar said. The win was North Laurel’s fourth in their last six games. They wrapped up the regular season last night hosting Perry Co. Central.

Lindsey Evans scored four goals, while Kayla Bargo added two. Rachael Lewis, Keaton Pennington, Deanna Spurlock, Katie Corso and Amy Patton rounded out the scoring for the Lady Jags, who improved to 7-11-0 on the season.

North Laurel will face Middlesboro in the girls’ district tournament Tuesday at 4 p.m. The tournament is being played at Middlesboro.
