LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — When these two teams met back on August 27, Pulaski County doubled up South Laurel, 6-3.

Tuesday night it was a different story.

The Maroons still managed a win, but this time by only one goal, 4-3.

It was South Laurel scoring first on a counter attack as Seth Hale sent a nice ball to Noah Bronnert, who beat the keeper with a perfectly placed shot for a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute.

The Cards held that lead for two minutes before the Maroons (9-6-0) tied the game at 1-1. Then in the 15th minute the Cardinal defense failed to clear the ball out from in front of goal as the Maroons scored for a 2-1 lead.

It stayed that way until the 37th minute when South (4-9-1) tied to match at 2-2. Jose Morales, who had just missed wide in the 22nd minute, hit the post this time, but Antonio Naldomdo was there to collect the rebound and score, sending the match tied 2-2 at the half.

Both teams added a goal in the second half as Pulaski came away with the 4-3 win.

It was Senior Night for South Laurel as Joey Fiefhaus, Seth Hale, Tanner Chaney, Sam Gaskin, Austin Rader, Austin Phelps, Ryan Rudd, Jacob Beckham, Jesse Thomas and Jose Morales were honored at the half.

The Cards will now face North Laurel Tuesday in the district soccer tournament at South Laurel.
