Vires leads North past Garrard County, 3-2

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — LANCASTER—Mikayla Vires smacked two doubles and was the winning pitcher in North Laurel’s 3-2 victory over Garrard County.

“Mikayla pitched great tonight,” North Laurel coach Kyle Mink said. “I thought she threw really well tonight.”

The Lady Jaguars hadn’t played in a week, so Mink was pleased with the way his team performed.

“It was nice to get a win,” Mink said. “I thought we were able to go out there and take care of business.”

North Laurel traveled to Middlesboro Friday night and are scheduled to host Rockcastle County tonight.
