South White pushed two more runs across in the fourth inning. McKeehan and Allen opened the inning with singles. Hostettler was robbed on a diving play by Corbin Red second baseman Boston Hardesty, but one run did score in the play. An RBI single by Carter Nelson made it a 10-3 score.
Corbin Red continued to put the ball in play. Hardesty doubled to lead off the fourth and scored on a Cole Shelton single.
South White tacked on another run in the fifth inning. Sizemore legged out an infield single and scored on a deep fly ball by Allen.
South White scored three times in the sixth inning with Sizemore blasting a two-run double and Nelson adding an RBI single.
Corbin Red left 11 runners stranded in the first five innings, but in the bottom of the sixth it took Wyatt just three pitches to end the game.
Clay County 22, South London Red 1
A red hot Clay County team knocked South Red out of the Area 2 tournament Tuesday. Clay County has won its last two games by a combined 37-2 after losing its opening game to Corbin White.
