Lipari Energy to sponsor 2014 AJGA event at London

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — BRASELTON, Ga. — Lipari Energy will serve as the title sponsor and join with London and Laurel County to conduct the 2014 Lipari Energy Junior Championship at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London July 21-24, the company announced last week.

“The London-Laurel County Tourist Commission is thrilled to welcome Lipari Energy as the title sponsor of the 2014 Lipari Energy Junior Championship,” Executive Director of the London-Laurel County Tourist Commission Rodney Hendrickson said. “The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is the top level of junior golf in the world and is widely known as the PGA TOUR for juniors.

“Locally and regionally, Lipari Energy has maintained a commitment of excellence in operations and community relations,” Hendrickson said. “As a producer of natural resources, Lipari continues to ensure a footprint that allows future generations to prosper and grow from their efforts.

“The young golfers we host for this tournament will be the same golfers we watch play in the US Open and Masters in a few years,” Hendrickson said. “A great title sponsor like Lipari Energy and a fantastic tour like the AJGA makes this a perfect fit.”

The 54-hole, stroke play event will feature 144 of the nation’s top junior golfers, including some of Kentucky’s best from around the state. Crooked Creek Golf Club will host the event for the second-straight year.

If you would like to be a part of the 2014 Lipari Energy Junior Championship, the AJGA and Crooked Creek Golf Club have several opportunities for you to give back to junior golf.

Junior-Am

In conjunction with the event, the AJGA will host a Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament Monday, July 21 at Crooked Creek Golf Club.

Supporting golf at the grassroots level, Junior-Ams allow the AJGA to make contributions to local junior golf charities. In 2014, the proceeds of the Lipari Energy Junior Championship Junior-Am will benefit the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant and the Lipari Foundation.

AJGA Junior-Ams are excellent opportunities to entertain clients, reward employees or enjoy a tournament round with friends. To sponsor a team or for more information, please contact Crystal Reeves at (678) 425-1742 or by email at creeves@ajga.org.
