Scrumptious blueberry jam. Handmade crocheted and knitted items. Chili or vegetable soup. Scented candles and tarts. Wood signs. Locally produced honey. Handcrafted Christmas ornaments.
Those were just a sampling of the items featured at the first of two Holiday at the Market, held Thursday night at the London Farmers Market as a way to promote local artisans and chefs.
Sponsored by London Downtown, Thursday’s event imitated the Arts & Eats ventures, with the exception of items being of a more holiday themed variety.
Brittany Cradic, interim director of London Downtown, said the Holiday at the Market event will be repeated in December, and encouraged the community to come out and support local farmers, chefs and artisans.
