LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Ora Mae Henson, 84, of Lily, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born Sept. 5, 1929 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Mary Jane (Scalf) Sizemore.

She was employed at Caron Spinning Company and a member of Roots Branch Baptist Church in Clay County, Ky.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Henson; seven brothers, George Blackman, Yancy, Taylor, Raligh, Duce, Dan and Hawk Sizemore; sister, Flora Smith; and son-in-law, David Pigg.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Smith and husband, Harold, of Corbin, Darlene Pigg of Lily, Virginia Downey and husband, Thomas, of Lily, Shelby Jean Towe and husband, Bill, of Williamsburg, and Brenda Kay Spencer and husband, Larry, of Louisville; sons, Silvester Henson, Earl Wayne Henson, and Larry Darrell Henson and wife, Brenda, all of Lily; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter, Miss Addie Mae Perkins of Newcomb, Tenn.; sister, Bertha McQueen of Lily.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at London Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Landon McDaniel and Rev. George Blair officiating.

Burial followed in the McHargue Cemetery in Lily.

Visitation was held Friday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were grandson, Les, Luke, Justin, Josh, Zack, Shane, Leslie, and Chris Rocky.
