LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Estelle Marie Carter, 87, of Jasper, Fla., formerly of London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla., following a brief illness.
Estelle was born in Jackson County, Ky., to the late James and Parlee Sims Tincher. She was a homemaker and beloved mother of two children.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Carter who was the father of her children and Farmer Boggs. Also preceding her was a son, Don L. Carter; siblings, Bill, James, Henry, Eli, May, Sue, Geneva, Chris, Viola, Ruby and Grace.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Ann Carter Bogard of Jasper, Fla.; a sister, Gerry Robinson; a grandson, Donnie Deen Bogard (Kimberly); four great-grandchildren, Whitney Bogard, Donnie Deen Bogard III, Megan Day and Kaitlyn Day; step granddaughter, Debbie Bogard; step great-granddaughter, Patsy Taggett; two step great-great-granddaughters, Sarah Taggett and DeeAnna Taggett, and many nieces, nephews and special friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Estelle Marie Carter will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Dallas Riggs officiating.
Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour on Saturday.
