LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Delbert Dwaine Tatman, 62, of London, Ky., passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
He was born on June 10, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Allen Tatman of London; his mother, Mae Murphy Hacker and step-father Gabby Hacker of Hamilton, Ohio; three step-children, Charles Allen of London, Lowell Allen of Versailles and Lisa Cornett of Berea; a sister, Karen Wilson and husband, Joe of West Chester, Ohio; a special brother-in-law, Virgil Otis Allen of Barbourville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Homer Foister and Mary Marcum, and his father, Lee Tatman.
He was a former deputy sheriff and jailer and worked in security. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral service for Delbert Dwaine Tatman was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Columbus Hensley and Donnie Vaughn officiating.
Burial followed in the Tatman-Allen Cemetery, Laurel County.
Military rites were presented by the local DAV.
