James William “Bill” Hammons

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — James William “Bill” Hammons, 45, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.

A native of Laurel County, he was born Jan. 13, 1968, the son of the late Shorty Hammons and Cindy Hubbard of Greersferry, Ark. He was disabled and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother; and three daughters, Raven Nicole Hammons, El Paso, Texas, Tori Danielle Hammons and Kyra Jo Hammons, both of London; and a sister, Daisy Ward and husband, Michael, Lexington, Ky.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, June 7 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Cecil Benge officiating.

Burial will follow in Hammons Family Cemetery, Laurel County.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at the funeral home.
