Phyllis Gayle Parker

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Phyllis Gayle Parker, an angel on earth went to be an angel in heaven to join her family and friends waiting for her there on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.

Gayle was preceded in death by her father, Roy McHargue Jr..; mother, Florence Rudder; and brother, Gene McHargue.

Born in Corbin, Ky., Aug. 19, 1947, she was a lifelong resident of London. She loved to read and farm (on facebook anyway)! She enjoyed her computer because it gave her the opportunity to connect with distant relatives and school friends.

She was always in a great mood and had a kind word for all even during this illness. She could always see the good in everyone.

Gayle is survived by two daughters, Lynn Robinson (James), Lakeland, Fla., and Deronda Kite (Jeff), Wilmington, Ohio; three granddaughters, Crystal, Samantha, Brandy; three great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Mackenzie and Kolton; a sister, Judy Spurlock, Corbin; three nephews, Neil, Chuck and Rick Johns; a niece, Christy Sweeney; her best friend of 40-plus years Sheilah Baker; and her most treasured cousin/sisters, Yvonne Rednour.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the McHargue Christian Church on Echo Valley Road. Doors will be open at 10 a.m. prior to the service.

Come and join the celebration of Gayle’s life.
