Dell Henry Deaton Zeo

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Dell Henry Deaton Zeo, 63, of East Bernstadt,  Ky., passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his residence. 

He was born Nov. 10, 1949, in Harlan County, Ky., the son of the late Gus Zeo and Sophia Cloud Deaton. 

He is survived by his wife, Jeannia Allen Zeo of East Bernstadt; three children,  James Zeo of London, Link Allen and Shane Young, both of East Bernstadt; one sister,  Thelma Lou Boswell of Lily; one brother,  Paul Deaton of London; two grandchildren,  James Dean Zeo and Kaitlyn Grace Young. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his step-father, Sherman Deaton; a daughter,  Sophia Francis Miracle; and a grandchild, Nicholas Zeo.

He was a farmer, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 21 in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan and Carl Allen officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery at East Bernstadt.

Military honors will be conducted by the local DAV.

Pallbearers will be Shane Young, Kelly Hicks, George Miller, Eugene Eversole, Randy Oakley and John McIntoch.

The family received friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
