Randoth Keith ‘Jim’ Cox

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Randoth Keith “Jim” Cox, 86, Topton Road London, Ky., passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at his residence.

A native of Laurel County, Ky., he was born May 16, 1927, the son of the late William Oscar Cox and Zora Anders Cox.

He was a retired welder, a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran and a member of Souls Harbor Church.

Survivors include his wife,  Mary Louise (Quimby) Cox of London; three sons, Donnie Cox, Melvin Cox and  Marvin Cox, all of London; a daughter,             Phyllis Yaden, London;  12 grandchildren, Teresa Cox, Brian Cox, Monica McFadden, Heather Tate, Amanda Patterson, Christopher Cox, Kristen Cox, Renee Jackson, Micah Cox, Kristal Wynn, Matthew Cox and Tabitha Wagers; and 20 great-grandchildren, Adam Alsip, Kyle McFadden, Alesha McFadden, Makayla Cox, Dakota McFarland, Breanna McQueen, Gunner McQueen, Victoria Patterson, Johnathon Patterson, Michaela Cox, Mackenzie Cox, Jacob Cox, Hope Wynn, Eli Wynn, Levi Cox, Keegan Jackson, Abby Jackson, Lindsey Cox, Jasmine Cox and Brody Wagers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Phillip Cox; three brothers, Rodney Cox, Denny Cox and Joe Cox; and three sisters, Eva Mayne, Bea Reynolds and Faye Bastin.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon today, Wednesday, July 31 in the London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Ball, Gene Greene and  Lonnie Marcum officiating.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy, Ky., with full military honors by the local DAV.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cox, Chris Cox, Matthew Cox, Micah Cox, Odie Jackson, Kenny Mayne and Barry Mayne.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 at London Funeral Home.
