Bernice Barnett

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Bernice Barnett, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at her residence. 

She leaves behind two daughters, Mildred “Micki” Huffmaster and husband, Bill of McDonough, Ga., and Lois Flynt and husband, James of Fincastle, Va.; a sister, Colleen Hale and husband, Jerry; three grandchildren, Derick Huffmaster, Marlon Huffmaster and Brent Flynt; three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brayden, Austin, Taylor and Shawn.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aylen Sparks Barnett; parents, Charley Allen and Lola McCowan Allen; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Barnett and Barbara Barnett; and eight sisters and brothers. 

Funeral service for Bernice Barnett will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 20 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. 

Burial will follow at Wiggington Cemetery, Laurel County.

The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
